Accessibility engineer

Builds storefront software for independent retailers. Design-system discipline, quarterly pay-band reviews, no surprise rounds.

You will own the accessibility posture of the product surface: auditing components, fixing contrast and focus order at the system level, and teaching the team what "done" means for assistive technology users.

In this role you will: run axe and screen-reader audits on every release candidate; fix focus management, contrast, and semantics in shared components; write accessibility acceptance criteria into the design-system docs; pair with product teams on complex widgets (comboboxes, dialogs, tables).

Success in the first year: Repeat audit failures trend to zero within two quarters.
