Accessibility engineer
$135,000 - $167,000 per year · employer-published range
Builds storefront software for independent retailers. Design-system discipline, quarterly pay-band reviews, no surprise rounds.
You will own the accessibility posture of the product surface: auditing components, fixing contrast and focus order at the system level, and teaching the team what "done" means for assistive technology users.
In this role you will: run axe and screen-reader audits on every release candidate; fix focus management, contrast, and semantics in shared components; write accessibility acceptance criteria into the design-system docs; pair with product teams on complex widgets (comboboxes, dialogs, tables).
Success in the first year: Repeat audit failures trend to zero within two quarters.
Interview process: Code sample, paired debugging, manager interview. Decisions in 3 weeks.
The pay band for this role is published: $135,000 to $167,000 per year. This is a full-time role. Every listing on this board carries its range and its process up front.
